Clinical Experience and Background:

Jon obtained his Master of Psychology (Counselling) Degree from Curtin University. Jon has done a lot of work with children and teenagers but also has a keen interest in working with adults. He also primes himself on working with boys and males and enjoys breaking down the societal barriers around negative stereotypes associated with males engaging in therapy.

When working with his clients, Jon enjoys walking alongside his clients to provide a safe space for them to be their true genuine selves. He aims to provide his clients with strategies that can assist them in alleviating their distress and presenting issues. At the heart of all of Jon’s work, he believes that a positive relationship with the client is essential. When working with children, Jon also commonly works with their parents to provide the best support for all individuals involved. As Jon has worked within schools, he has become accustomed to many of the issues experienced by children and adolescents. By doing so, he is aware of the guidelines and criteria for WACE and IB exams and is accustomed to accommodations that are made available to adolescents under the Schools Curriculum Standards Authority (SCSA) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma).

Jon runs his own independent practice and engages Clear Health Psychology to provide administrative and other business services to enable him to provide assessment and treatment to his clients.
